Farewell
Farewell Ceremony
A Farewell Ceremony is what is commonly known as a funeral. I have chosen to give the ceremonies I perform the title of Farewell Ceremony because I believe it more aptly represents the feel of the ceremony.
As a Civil Celebrant I confidently write eulogies for Farewell Ceremonies, Funerals, Memorials or Wakes that honor a loved one’s life journey.
My role as a professional celebrant is to facilitate, for the family and friends of the deceased, the best possible tribute to their loved one. I will conduct the ceremony with sensitivity, compassion, respect and professionalism and allow for those attending to grieve, share, reflect and say goodbye but most importantly, to celebrate what that person and their life represented.
It would be my honour to meet with you, and the family and friends of the deceased, to create with you a ceremony that best represents the wishes, beliefs, and values of that person. I strive to do all I can to get to know who your loved one was and together we can design a fitting tribute.
You can choose any location for a Farewell Ceremony including a church or funeral chapel, a private home, a park or somewhere of significance to your loved one. The ceremony can be held before or after burial or cremation.
Ceremonies can incorporate the releasing of balloons or doves, music, prayer or the scattering of ashes somewhere significant or special. The options are as boundless as your imagination.
